Linkedin Marketing

LinkedIn marketing refers to the use of LinkedIn's platform to promote a company's products or services, build brand awareness, generate leads, and establish authority within a particular industry. This form of marketing involves creating a company page, sharing engaging content, building relationships with potential customers and industry professionals, and utilizing LinkedIn's advertising tools to target specific audiences. LinkedIn marketing can be particularly effective for B2B companies or those targeting professionals in specific industries.

A marketing professional, like Rock Solid Marketing,  can bring valuable expertise to a company's LinkedIn marketing efforts. They can help develop and execute a strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and target audience. A marketing professional can also analyze metrics and adjust the strategy accordingly to ensure maximum engagement and return on investment. Additionally, they can stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in LinkedIn marketing to keep the company ahead of the competition. Ultimately, hiring a marketing professional can help a company effectively reach and engage with their target audience on LinkedIn, ultimately leading to increased brand awareness and revenue.

How to succeed with LinkedIn Marketing

To succeed using Linked in, it's important to understand that LinkedIn is built for B2B networking. It is a place where your employees and supporters actively want to build intimate connections with your brand.

1. Complete your profile

This is important. Profiles that are complete (entirely), get 2x the amount of views than those that aren't. Take time in ensuring that your profile is up to date and that you aren't missing anything. This isn't just about your company profile, you should do this with your personal as well.

2. Engage with your employees

Encourage your employees to add their job title and company to their profile and to follow your company page. Having your employees engage with your photos will help your overall reach. Also, companies that show employees engaging with their content end up 50% more of a higher chance in finding top talent to join their team for their company.

3. Engagement/ask questions

When it comes to engagement, you want to respond and react to your commenters. Ask questions! The more people are replying to your posts, the longer the reach will be. When someone comments on your post, their followers see them as well. Make sure your questions are industry related. Answer questions people may have about your industry! Use full sentences, do not use slang. Be professional.

4. Share successes

Talk about your employees and their successes. Post about their accomplishment. People are most likely to share posts that have them in it and if your employees share the post it will hit their followers feed as well. Your company will gain more exposure!

5. Use showcase pages

This is like a subpage to your company profile. If you have specific services or products for sale, you can basically put a spotlight on those items. People can follow showcase pages even if not following the company itself and is a good way to broaden your reach.

6. Use linkedin Analytics

For most businesses, the best times to post is early in the morning and late in the afternoon, but this isn't the case for every company. Use the analytics and information that linkedin shares to your advantage. Look at businesses that are similar and get an idea of what best days and times are best for you to post. In time it'll get easier to see when is the best time for your own content and the type of content that gets the most engagement.

LinkedIn is a great tool when networking with others in the business world.
